Nicole Kidman is reportedly “hurt and betrayed” after Keith Urban initiated the end of their nearly 20-year marriage.
According to People Magazine, Kidman had been working to save their relationship, but Urban chose to separate,
moving into a new home in Nashville while Kidman remains focused on their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Court documents show Kidman has requested primary custody, an arrangement Urban has agreed to. The proposal
would give Kidman 306 days with their daughters each year and Urban 59 days. Friends note that although Kidman hoped to preserve the marriage,
the couple’s paths had diverged, and Urban quietly establishing his own residence signaled the split was final.
The pair, married since 2006, were last seen together publicly on June 20 at a FIFA Club World Cup match in Nashville.
Sources say they had been living apart for some time, making the divorce less surprising within close circles.
