Human remains have been found in the car of Samantha Jean Hopper, who vanished in Arkansas with her daughter 23 years ago. Adventures With Purpose, a nonprofit that solves cold cases, discovered her blue Ford Tempo submerged in eight feet of water. Hopper disappeared in 1998 while pregnant and traveling with her two-year-old daughter, Courtney Holt. Their remains are being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for DNA testing. The Pope County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences, while Hopper’s surviving daughter, Dezarea, called the discovery a “relief.”
